Monday the 25th of June

We used Geogebra to look at straight lines y=mx+c and y-y1 = m(x-x1)
We looked at graphs and wrote down their equations.

Tuesday the 26th of June

We used Geogebra to look at parabolas
- the "vertex" form y = k(x-a)^2+b where k is the shape, and (a,b) is the vertex. a moves it right/left and b moves it up down.
- the "roots" form y=k(x-a)(x-b) where a and b are the roots (x intercepts) and k is the shape
- the "standard" form y = ax^2 + bx + c, where c is the y intercept.

Wednesday the 27th of June

We had half the lesson in silence, choosing what to do from all the available resources.
Then we did the following "tests" for equations of lines and parabolas.

Thursday the 28th of June

Students created their own patterns, wrote out the equations, swapped with a friend, drew each others patterns and checked they agreed.

Friday the 29th of June

Scale factors of parabolas.
